Residents Can Receive PennDOT Construction
Notices and Traffic Advisories Via Email, Says Denlinger
PennDOT Engineering District 8, which is responsible for state-owned highways and bridges in south central Pennsylvania, offers a new service for people interested in receiving email notices about highway construction projects and travel advisories in the region, Rep. Gordon Denlinger (R-Lancaster) said today.
Residents can sign up to receive the same press releases and traffic notices PennDOT sends to news media outlets and the professional traffic services.
To subscribe, residents should visit PennDOT’s main website at www.dot.state.pa.us, click on “PennDOT Organizations,” then “Engineering Districts & County Maintenance Organizations,” then on “District 8” in the statewide map, and then click on either “News Releases” or “Local Traffic Advisories.”
PennDOT District 8 covers Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York counties. Individuals interested in signing up for the service may designate which county or counties they are interested in, or request all news releases and travel advisories issued by District 8.
Residents can also view the releases and notices on the District 8 section of PennDOT’s main website.
